Guys “The Girls” Like …
We like guys. And there are some guys we really like. Here’s a quick introduction to some of the Guys “The Girls” Like, and why we like them.
_____________________________________________________________________
Dave Hobby, Owen Brown.
The Girls like Dave. He is diligent, dedicated, and he has a great sense of humor. Gratis, He did a Fast Company-like photo shoot with Jessie; he has offered a high-level workshop on blogging for our network of friends and he is the awesome husband of one of our HocoLocal Ladies. He’s a role model for using social media to do what he loves, provide value and make money doing it. The Girls like that: He’s a local social media rock star.

Dave Wissing, Town Center.
The Girls like Dave. He is respectful, thoughtful and active; he’s a do-er. He always shows up for our events with a smile on his face and an engaging attitude. He’s not only early, but he RSVPs. And that’s enough to win a party hostess’s heart any day. He also buys us drinks every once in a while. The Girls like that: While we can afford to buy our own drinks, it’s always nice to be treated special.

Philip J. Merrill, of Local Cafés.
The Girls like Philip. He is social, friendly and always open to learning more. Philip knows exactly at what table we like to sit when we work at Borders in Columbia, as we do in the evenings here and there. On a packed night at Borders, with not a table to be found, he waited for “our” table to open, marked it (saved it) for us, then zipped through the store to find us so we could work in comfort. The Girls like that: A guy who knows what we like and makes sure we get it!

Bob Moon, Hobbits Glen.
The Girls like Bob. He is dedicated, loyal and committed. And he frequently buys American City Girls notecard collections from us. Bob’s support helps us pay for the many parties we host. It seems Bob is liked by a number of us throughout the community; he gets invited to many of the HocoLocal Lady parties we host.

Frank Hecker, Ellicott City.
The Girls like Frank. He is smart, logical, funny and always willing to help us, especially when we need geek help with our blogs, domains and such. Frank’s support helps us focus on the fun stuff, knowing that we can turn to him when we get stuck. Hey, the American City Girls like to say, “Every girl needs a geek.”

wow! thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I love Columbia and worked with the planning that went into it and it is a thrill to see the new positive design leadership GGP has brought into our community.
Thank you for having a great organization bringing younger and younger people into leadership roles. The focus of buying locally is well founded and for me to be working on a destination Park will be great for Columbia as it gets built.
Thank you for this honor.
Bob
LOL! That’s the first time my name has ever been used following the phrase, “The girls like”…
Style differentiator:
You: Holding a trendy martini glass.
Me: Working on a Diet Mountain Dew six-pack.
(I will tell Susan to order a new, double-wide front door to accommodate my swelled head.)
Many thanks,
DH
